I will be going to Magens Bay at the end of January, I was wondering if there is anyone, or a company there that rents wave runners on the beach? are they even allowed in the bay?
also - is anyone doing ultra-light excursions or rentals on the islands?
any information would be greatly appreciated!

Wave Runners are not allowed to be brought onto the Magens Bay property - none available for rent - you may see some cruising outside the buoys but they are usually from Hull Bay - there is no ultralight business on STT or STJ.
oh, ok, are you allowed to ride them in the bay though? i saw on google maps that there are boats close to the beach.
what i'm trying to do is set up a wave runner rental business as well as ultra lights, and was wondering if i could do that if i stayed outside the bouys?trying to find a place to dock them at night
OK - good luck with that.
Top of this page is a link to the VIMovingCenter which will provide you with pretty much all you need to know about living here and setting up a business here. There us also an active forum where you can probably find answers to questions not addressed in the general information. Best to read extensively.
There are at least 3 wave runner businesses on STT: at Sapphire, Bolongo, and Coki. Someone tried Lindberg a while back, but it doesn't't look like that worked out. There may be others that I don't know about.

The operators aren't among the most well like business owners here as their very use here has always been controversial.I briefly lived above a part of the shoreline where they operated. Never again!
our reefs come in very close to shore. Unless a jet ski is operated properly, in an area free of reefs, they are an ecological nightmare. The noise is another issue. Most residents do not welcome them on the beaches in the USVI.
