What are the choices for drinking water, for a guest on St. John?
Residential water is potable or you can purchase any number of varieties of bottled water.
Thanks, STT Resident. You answered this for me on City Talk also. I was told to post here, which is why the duplicate questions.
In Germany we had a similar situation and purchased a filtering system for removing chlorine taste from the tap water. It makes water taste more like water and works great. Normally I wouldn't bring it as it is bulky and we plan to travel light, but with this information we will reconsider.

Nothing to reconsider - don't waste the space! You will NOT taste any chlorine in the water as any amount used is bare minimum.
Ask where you are staying if the property has a water filtration system. Most do.
Don't waste your space and pay for bringing drinking water. Readily available by the bottle, gallon or 5 gallon sizes. It is quite rare for anyone to get sick from drinking or using cistern water. I've never heard of it.
This is not Haiti where you have to be careful of what you eat (salads, thin skinned fruit, etc.) or what you may drink that has water or ice. Forget the stress and enjoy.
