Hello All, my mother will be visiting St. Thomas this week. She is recovering from surgery from Breast Cancer and would like to visit Water Island. She wants to go to Honeymoon Beach but is unable to make that walk from the ferry. Does anyone know of a method of transportation for her. Thank you in advance.
P.S. I must say that when I visited a few years ago I was lucky to have taken the ferry over with one of the residents, Peggy. Her wonderful husband Wally gave us a lift in their golf cart. If anyone knows them please send them my thanks and regards.:@)
Just about everyone on WI is super friendly and happy to give someone a lift to/from the ferry or the beach. Having said that, there are no guarantees that someone would be available - especially on the return trip back up the hill from the beach. Tough call to make. If your mother is willing to wait, I'm sure someone would come down to the beach eventually. But it would be terrible to be stuck if she's unable to make that climb. Best of luck!
