Have reservations for Water Island Campground last week of September, 2010. Plane doesn't land until 3:30 PM. on a Sunday. Does anyone know what time the grocery store at Crown Bay Marina closes on Sundays? We are afraid that we won't be able to have time to get a few groceries for the evening and make the ferry at 5:00pm. Are there any places to eat on Water Island on a Sunday Evening? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Not much going during the month of September on Sundays on Water Island. Joe's Beach Bar during season does have a music jam/pot luck on Sunday evenings but unsure if he'll be doing that during September. I assume you will have all carry-on? If so, you won't have to wait for your luggage and can catch a taxi right away to drop you at Crown Bay. The taxi ride is about 5 minutes from the airport. So, you should have time to 1) grab a bite to eat at Tickles before you get on the ferry to Water Island and 2) pick up a few things you'll need for that evening and the next morning at the Gourmet Gallery which will be open. A suggestion to make the most of your time before you have to catch the 5:00: Once you place your food order @ Tickles, one of the persons in your party walk the 10/20 steps to Gourmet Gallery and do your speed shopping for that evening/next morning. By the time they're back, the food will be on the table.

The next day you can leisurely go back over to St. Thomas and head over to Pueblo.....from Crown Bay Marina, exit thru the pedestrian gate on the east side of the Crown Bay Marina parking lot. On your left you'll see an intersection a few steps away. Turn right at the intersection. You should be able to see Pueblo about a 1/2 block or a block on your left.
