Good afternoon! For those planning a stay on Water Island, be sure to emphasize to your crew that they should plan their airline flight to arrive in St. Thomas well before the last scheduled ferry run from St. Thomas to Water Island.

I was informed today that the Water Island Ferry has modified their policy somewhat in that they are limiting the Special Runs to when there is an event (e.g., dinner & dancing at Tickles, Monday Night at the Movies on Honeymoon Beach). After all, they are a FERRY - not a water taxi. Of course they are still running on schedule (Unusual for the islands but true!) each of their published runs and some limited evening runs on an individual case basis. You may contact the Captain or the ferry owner 24 hours in advance to see if they will be able to accomodate you on a late night trip from Crown Bay to Water Island. But, please do not count on the Water Island Ferry outside of the scheduled published runs.

I am investigating alternates/other water transportation service providers but for now, plan to be sitting with a cold drink on Flamingo Point Estate porch while the sun is still hovering in the sky over Saba!
