Could someone please tell me how deep the water is when walking/swimming through the pools and grottos of the Baths? I'd never thought about it until now and I was wondering about my 8 yr old who is a "beginning" swimmer. Thanks!

It shouldn't be a problem. It seems the deepest I recall was less than waist deep which I know is all relative, but I'm about 5'8". The water is generally very calm as well. Once at the beach it's a gradual slope, but the water can be a bit rough depending on marine conditions. I've seen lots and lots of kids there and they seem to have a great time scrambling up and down over the boulders.
