If I'm staying at the Sapphire Beach Resort and I want to go to Red Hook at night to the bars and restaurants, is it safe to walk? How far is it?

Thanks!

The simple fact that you will be thinking about it means its stressful. That is not what vacations are supposed to be about. Take a taxi--it will only be $3 or $4.

It isn't very far, maybe a little more than a mile, but it is a little hilly, very curvy and very dark. There is no sidewalk, so you would have to walk on the "shoulder".

The danger is much more likely to come from a car than a creep.

STT is right. It's like a country road with no sidewalks and cars zooming by. Walking that road at night is like rolling the dice...... do you feel lucky?
