Seriously hooked on St. Thomas; already gathering information to plan the trip next year. Would love votes on the above 3 topics and please ... add more topics as you think of them.
Based on my very limited experience on the Island, these are my picks: 1) Best Beach: Trunk Bay-St. John; (But I hear Cinnamon Bay is much better); 2) Best Restaurant-Cellars in Red Hook or close second Tavern on the Waterfront, Charlotte Amalie; 3) Best Other Activity: These guys run a boating business right down from "Best Tires" on Rt. 32 coming down from Elysian, Cowpet Bay, etc. You can rent 2 man inflatable boats with steering wheels, have a complete blast running all around the ocean, then jump out, snorkel, swim to a remote beach. Cruise price was $89 per person but non cruise rate is cheaper. I wish I could remember their names!!!
This is just my opinion
Best beach - White bay on JVD
Best restaurant - Craig & Sally's STT
Activity - day sail to the baths on Virgin Gorda
It also depends on what you are looking for & what are your expectations.
I loved Craig & Sally's for our anniversary dinner but we ate at Duffy's more then once just for the atmosphere. Same goes for the beaches. Some beaches are great for snorkeling and others for people watching or drinks.
Cheers

I spent a fantastic week with my husband on St. Thomas for our 10 year anniversary. We saw some great beaches, visited St. John, Water Island, ate at great restaurants, got some great deals shopping and enjoyed the beauty of the Virgin Islands. Please check out my overview and pictures at the following link for some ideas for your upcoming trip:

(tu) I LOVE Lindquist Beach very private and the only downfall is there is no bathrooms or food; but when you get there you won't even think about that! The view of St John and the BVI's takes your breath away. My husband Mark and I love this beach.
;)We are total foodies and love many places on St Thomas; but HANDS DOWN Havana Blue is the best place to dine in the VI. The view is amazing and the sunset there is a must to see. The food is special and always amazing and they have GREAT chefs who have been there for as long as we have been dining there ( 3-4 yrs). I get the miso glazed sea bass and my husband loves the filet and skirt steak. They have an amazing happy hour too either at Havana Blue or there bar underneath called The Sand Bar. We also enjoy there other restaurant Coco Blue for fresh fish and sushi ( they also have a great happy hour). both of these places have an amazing atmosphere.
We also love Craig and Sallys for the changing menu and HUGE wine list. There is no view their ; but the atmosphere is a view itself. The Chef is from NYC and is talented and you can always count on Craig and Sally to give you a menu that will have you coming back for more.
The best other thing to do is take a boat trip to the BVI"S and we think JOST is a must! We love the Daydreamer and the owners are great people and there boat is beautiful!
We also like to take the ferry to St John and visit the beautiful beaches there.
There are bathroom facilities at Lindqvist Beach - Smith Bay Park - they are not masonry buildings - situated by the lifeguard stand.
