Please - need some help here-

We are visiting in October 2005 on Norwegian cruiseline-need advice and directions to couple of attractions--want to visit Tillett gardens as that is our sir name and need directions and best method of transport from cruise terminal. Also my son (12 years old ) wants to go on jet ski-any advice and directions would be appreciated along with prices. Thanks
Bob

Any taxi may take you to Tillet Gardens. Finding one next to the cruise ship won't be hard, as they are all right there as you get off the ship. Ask him if he can wait while you are in Tillet, or be prepared and call for a return taxi about 10 minutes before you want to go somewhere else, as taxiis don't generally hang out and wait to pick up fares at Tillet. Jet skiis can be done on almost any beach. Pick a popular one (like Coki or Sapphire) that is close to Tillet to save on Taxi fares (remember, they charge per PERSON, per destination...can get pricey.). Have fun!

I am sorry, Marty, but jet skis are prohibited (thank heavens!) on many beaches. Most jet ski operations in the Virgin Islands are guided tours and I believe the driver has to be a minimum of 18.

Bob: Save money and tell your son he can ride a PWC next time you're in Florida! 😉

Hello Bob,

If you are taking a taxi, they will know how to get to Tillett Gardens. I agree that you should have the driver wait. They do charge extra for waiting however so if you want to shop, have lunch or drinks at Tillett then get the driver's telephone number or ask for the dispatcher's number so you can call for a taxi pick up when you are ready.

You can also rent a car.

For jetskis - Coki, Sapphire, Morningstar are the beaches that come to mind. It’s usually about $45-$50 for 30 minutes.
