*I am visiting the Virgin Islands in the first week of March of this year and I had a few questions about my trip. I'm flying in with my friend and we are both in our early 20s. We were wondering what the weather is usually like around this time. We were also wondering what kind of activities are recommended for people our age--watersports, nightlife, etc. I was also told by a girl I go to school with not to go out at all past 9:00 pm because it is dangerous. However, another close friend just recently visited the Virgin Islands and said almost the opposite. Any other information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!
We were on St Thomas last week. The weather was great, with breezes that kept the bugs away (we only saw what I thought were "no see 'ums" once, when the wind was absent one morning.)
I didn't think either St John or St. Thomas seemed dangerous at night. Of course, i was with my husband and we stuck to populated places. All the restaurants, beaches and clubs had taxis waiting outside everytime we were out and about..
I can't believe anyone would walk anywhere other than the few places with sidewalks - day or night. The chances of being run over by a local or a visitor on those narrow roads without shoulders would be too great. (Not to mention the few places on the hills where the road seems to be sliding off.)
Hello,
Check out the weather section

Activities you might like to do - shop for souvenirs in Havensight or CA or both, check out the historic sights like the fort in CA, do an island tour, beach hop, snorkel, day trip to St. John, happy hour at Paradise Point, happy hour at Greenhouse, happy hour at other bars and restaurants, you could join a day sail one day, jet skis or parasailing?? lots to do - look into it and see which interested you most.
You can go out at night - stick to well populated area and well lit places, common area - clubs, restaurants, bars. Be aware and smart when you go out at night.
