I'll be heading to St. Thomas in July. Are there any suggestions on things to see, places to go, and things to do?

Are you there for a week or just a stop on a cruise?

Sorry, should have asked what you are interested in on last post.
Shopping, beaches, snokeling, sailing, hiking, night life, etc.?
Where are you staying?

Anything you can provide gives us all a better idea of suggestions.

I'm in to all sorts of things. Shopping, beaches, nightlife, good tour sites, things of that sort. I'll be staying at Tropic Leisure Club in Magens Point.

Shopping
Your on the right island for that. Havensight is the cruise mecca but old town Charlotte Amalie is my favorite. Great shops, architecture and deals.
Beaches
Magens is one of the best although Sapphire is also beautiful and Coki offers good snorkeling. However, if you really want to experience beaches of USVI, make the trip (or more) to STJ. The ferry out of Red Hook is 20 minutes and you can catch a taxi to any of the North Shore beaches. All are amazing.
Nightlife
Afraid I can't help with that one on STT. I know there are many from reading the numerous posts, but hopefully others will make their recommendations. Duffy's in Cruz Bay STJ was my favourite and I know they have one in Charlotte but there are more places to choose than that for sure.
Tour sites
Paradise Point is beautiful and to be there during sunset is more so. Drakes seat also provides beatiful views of the islands. If you are into hiking, visit STJ and get with the Parks Department for the Reef Bay hike. Finally, I really suggest a day sail on the New Horizon to BVI. Fun day, meet people, see the Baths, etc.
Check out the STT specific site, look over the various things available and then ask for specific comments or suggestions. Someone will certainly come back with experience and recommendation.

Hope that helped. Have a great time.

Marty wrote in another message to Roxie Fowler concerning nightlife on STT.

"There are many, many places on STT to go. The Greenhouse, the Shipwreck, the Hard Rock, Duffy's Love Shack, Paradise Point on Wed. nite, Iggie's, the Caribbean Saloon, Molly Malones, the Offshore Bar, The Rum Shack, Tickles, Bluebeard's Castle on Monday nite, Sapphire Beach on a Sunday afternoon, NIPA...oh, the list just goes on and on! Come on down, you won't be bored!!"

Hope that helps

We are going to St. Thomas in May. Can only stay 6 nights, so our agenda is quite full. We booked the New Horizons II to BVI based on recommendations from this board and others. Also booked day trips through our hotel (Wyndham Sugar Bay) for sightseeing in St. John and St. Thomas. We have reservations for the Sea Trek at Coral World and then snorkling at Coki Beach.

Plan on going to Paradise Point on Wed. night for their Happy Hour and live entertainment. Also Duffy's Love Shack on Monday. According to their web-site they have an all you can eat lobster/crab legs for $20 on Mondays. We plan on one day just to hang at the hotel and use their facilities. I made an appt for an afternoon in their spa.

Hopefully, I've planned a good overview of the area and will get highlights of the top attractions. Only 47 days left to wait.
