Aaimbug,
Stayed there in February, 2007 when they first opened. It was a fantastic experience. The owners are so knowledgeable about Water Island and they live on site. The campground is close to Honeymoon Beach which is fabulous. Views are just breathtaking. I would recommend it.

I stayed on water island (before there was a campground) over 20 years ago and loved it!

Yes, they have a website www.virginislandscampground.com. I really want to go it looks so nice!! Mabe the end of may.

Thanks for the posts, I'm always looking for another camping option. This looks like another great reason to visit Water Island.

I was looking over their web site, looks pretty good. Were you able to look at the apartment they have for rent? Just wondering if it has a view of the ocean.

The bedroom has a king bed with a small window facing the ocean. View is OK. There is a sliding door in the kitchen that opens onto a small deck that overlooks the ocean. That view is great. Such a nice place and eco-friendly too. My avatar picture is on the beach at Honeymoon.
