This message is in search of any Virgin Islanders in the Kentucky area. As I am far away from my home, I am going into culture shock of not being able to purchase Roti, visit Cramer's Park Beach, Climb a fruit tree, eat a sugar apple and I just cannot get used to paying for Mangos and Avocado. What about going to see Seventeen Plus, Imaginations Brass, Jam Band or Steel Band music? If any of you are out there feeling my anguish, please post your message here.

Angie,
I have known one Virgin Islander in Kentucky. You went the wrong direction. There are several of us from Kentucky now living in the Virgin Islands. The weather's better here.

Angie, if you are anywhere near a large university I would contact the student association there. They should be able to put you in touch with students from the Caribbean in general and the USVI in particular.

I've met several people from St. Croix just in the elevator in my building on campus. They might overhear my conversation about how much I love visiting the island or, more often, they recognize my bracelet.
