Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how the pool at the Virgin Grand Villas at the Westin is? The pool for owners. Apparently the main pool will be closed for renovations when were suppose to go in November. Thanks.

Hello,

I've stayed in the hillside villas a few times and have used the pool during those visits. I believe it has been updated since my last visit. While it is much smaller than the main Westin pool, it is very nice and does have a good view. Many times we would sit around the pool in the morning drinking juice, tea, etc. and talk to the lady who was cleaning the pool. Many times we were the only ones at the pool.

Thank you for your response. We have never been to this property but it looks very nice. The beach area also looks great. We just can't decide if we should switch to a different place all together with the renovations going on.

You should probably call them and ask about the daily noise level being produced by the renovations and how it will effect the unit your have reserved. Work generally will start early so you may want to consider moving to a quieter location if major noisy renovations are underway.

Hi JWest986,

I'm staying in the Virgin Grand Villas in late September and was also worried about the noise level from the renovations. I emailed the GM of the hotel and was told that the renovations will mostly be going on around the beachfront and poolfront buildings - the Grand Villas are across a little street, up on the hillside, so noise should be minimal. I figure the smaller 'owner's' pool should be fine, and if the Westin beach is noisy there are plenty of other gorgeous beaches on the island, so we're not too worried about it. 🙂

Hi. Thanks for your response. That's what we thought too, we could always go to other beaches as I've heard great news about them. If you could do me a favor & post on here when you get back from your trip in Sept. & let me know how it was I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks a lot!
