My husband and I have a choice of the following villas:

Quintessence, Allure or Camelot. Which is the most luxurious and in a great location. We love the looks of Magen's Bay. We've never been to VI before and we want this anniversary trip to be very special. We'd like to spend about $250 - $300/night for 2 in either May or June 2003. We'd like the largest and best we can get for this money.

Lois: It looks like Camelot is on Cabrita Point, which is on the East End of St Thomas- close to the ferry to St John and many restaurants/bars and other services (market, etc.). The other two are in Peterborg which are close to Magen's Bay, but quite a distance from anything else.

Other than being close to the fery to St. John, is the Magen's Bay area prettier with a nicer beach (which is important to us)?

Lois: Magen's is one of the prettiest beaches anywhere- a perfect walking beach, long with white sand (I presume you have seen the pictures). Have you looked at the map on this site to see where Peterborg is? It is the long peninsula to the northeast of the bay. Depending on where the villa is on the peninsula, it could be a long walk or a drive to the beach. It could also look over the ocean (and Tortola, Jost etc.) vs the beach. You are doing your homework- keep asking questions!!

Me amd my finance haved just recently decided to get married in St. Thomas. We just began planning our wedding here in ALabama, bnut we were not to far. My soon to be IN-LAWS have just returned back from a vacation to ST. THomas and they thought it was beatiful. They suggested we think abot goping there to get married. We have always wanted a big wedding with 500 guests and anything else we desire. But we think that the VI isalands may be the hting for us. I paln to have my bridesmaids and groosmen still, however only family and close friends will go the trip. I want to have a traditional wedding but have it in the Islands. I need some advice and maybe some agencies I could contact. I am looking to spend about $4000.00 on the ceremony, reception, flowers, pictures, in St. Thomas.

I'm don't recall accomodations on magans bay. We celebrated our anniversary and stayed at Secret Harbour, one bedroom, very spacious and a marvelous view of the ocean with this wonderful balcony. (Wish I were there now) It is not luxurious but it's very nice and I was very much satisfied. In fact I have been recommending it to all my friends who are traveling there. It's seculded and the restaurant was very nice.
