Hello!

I am currently trying to plan my wedding on St Thomas for next April 2008. My fiance and I want to rent a large villa to house our families and to hold the ceremony/reception at. We are expecting 35-50 people in attendance and would like a villa that is 4-5 bedrooms. We'd also like a villa with a large deck that we could hold the ceremony/reception on.

If any one has any great villa suggestions, I would be very appreciative! I am having a hard time finding villas that I like and that will allow weddings on site.

Thanks!!!!

Mimi

Infinity has a large pool area with both shaded and open pavillion sections. The downside is that if you look off of the far left side, you'll see a not so pretty section of Charlotte Amalie...but the harbour view and the town view are nice. The villa is amazing...so is the pool. Very high-end everything. Only 4 bedrooms. Infinity pool (hence, the name). http://www.mclaughlinanderson.com/villawebpage.cfm?curunitid=58

I have not visited Ventana, but it seems to have a nice amount of deck space...and it appears to have a westerly view of the harbour, if you plan a sunset ceremony. http://www.mclaughlinanderson.com/villawebpage.cfm?curunitid=131

Another 4BR, Cote Sud, seems to have decent deck space and looks lovely. http://www.mclaughlinanderson.com/villawebpage.cfm?curunitid=378

Of COURSE, there's always Sand Dollar Estate. http://www.mclaughlinanderson.com/villawebpage.cfm?curunitid=93 for a wedding, this is a top choice......with it's own pristine, white sand beach and such an amazing location.

I don't know which of these, if any, has restrictions. A read of their pages should advise.

Best Wishes!

Blu is right on as always! Great choices! I know that a lot of weddings are done at Ventana! Some restrictions do apply on certain villas and some don't allow functions at all. McLaughlin Anderson will be happy to let you know what is best for you!

Thanks for the recommendations!!! I am VERY interested in Ventana- it looks beautiful! We are planning on checking out Cabrita Cliff Haus and Villa SeaStar when we are in St Thomas for our "scouting trip" in June.

Thanks again for the help!

"VENTANA IS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR WEDDINGS, PARTIES or LARGE GATHERINGS! (maximum 45 guests for reception): ADD a $1000 surcharge to the seasonal rental rate for 7-8 persons (see Rates), high or low season. A $1500 fully-refundable damage deposit is also required. "
