I see most Villas are listed on multiple web sites. How do you decide which to rent from?
Diana -
We just got back from St. John Thursday night - we stayed for 10 days! We rented through destination St. John and stayed in the Temptress - it was AWESOME!!! I can't compliment it enough - the view is magnificent - we saw 4 cruise ships pull into St. Croix one night, it was great! I highly recommend them and the villa we stayed in.
Just look on the web under the villa companies name and see what comes up. There are some good websites that share information, www.fodors.com under their travel talk forum. Type in the name of the rental company and see what comes up. Also, www.tripadvisor.com might have something. We rented from Windspree.com, I called them up and spoke with them, to get a "gut feel" for who I was dealing with, and they appeared geniune, and knowledgable. Windspree.com rents mostly in St John
in the Coral Bay area, lovely views, no noise! Perfect.
We had good experience with caribbeanvilla.com on STJ. Make sure the person on the phone appears to know the area rather than reading from a card or changes the subject to hide their ignorance.
whether you rent the villa from a wholesaler, a travel agent, the villa's management company or the owner, usually the pricing is the same. otherwise it becomes a feeding frenzy with no loyalty to the product.
go with whomever gives you the best service.
villas are listed in this fashion so that they have more exposure to more people!
