Hi there.

First off, I want to think all of the members of this forum who take the time to share their great wealth of knowledge. I've found it an invaluable tool in planning my first trip to St. John.

Now on to my quandary...

I am searching for a 5(+) BR villa on St. John to rent next year. After extensive searches, spreadsheets, and phone calls, I'm still wringing my hands, unsure which choice to make. I thought I had it all figured out, but just found out that the villa that would have been perfect for my party generally only does Saturday to Saturday bookings. And, since I'm coming in on a Thursday for my wedding on Saturday, this didn't seem to be a good idea.

Anyway, I'm looking for at least 5 BR, a pool, and something that has a very nice water view. Something that would afford each of our 9 guests a little privacy (from each other) would be nice, but isn't a deal breaker. All of the pictures from the various sites make each one look phenomenal, so someone with personal experience would be a great relief.

Again, thanks for all of your help.

When we first began plans for our first trip to STJ, we had a whole lot more folks saying they wanted to come along. So at the time, we decided to go with Eden's Whim (5 bedrooms). I haven't been there personally but the extensive research we did and all the reviews I found on the place led us to believe it was Grade A accommodations. I'd check that out for sure. In the end our 5 couples ended up at 3 so that's why we didn't staying there after all... We went with another place managed by the same people (Seaview Homes) and had a spectacular experience--with the villa we choose and with the folks there that we worked with. Good luck and congratulations!

Lots of 5BRs on STJ. Try www.VillasCaribe.com and select 5BRs. You'll get a list of them. You can see what's available.

Also, for a smaller list...but always wonderful and high-end choices, go to www.mclaughlinanderson.com.

VillasCaribe is a booking agent. Nancy Anderson is a rental agent/manager.

Also, good lists at www.Islandhideaways.com ...... another booking agent with a great reputation.
