Does anyone have information or ever stayed at Pallina (near Magens Bay)?

Hi - We considered this beautiful villa back in 2003. It is gorgeous, with great amenities, a lovely pool and a gorgeous view. If you haven't seen them yet, McLaughlin Anderson has little virtual tour movies on their site and most of the rooms can be viewed. You might want to inquire about any construction currently going on around the location. We were told that the construction in the area was slow-moving and might be going on for years. Hopefully, it is all finished now but it wouldn't hurt to inquire. Our party was only going to be using two bedrooms and we were told that the rest of the bedrooms would be locked off at the owner's request. This was the first time we had run into that but I understand it's not uncommon. We inquired about just being able to get into the pool level little kitchenette so we could use the refrigerator while at the pool rather than having to go up and down to the main level kitchen. According to the villa agent, the owner was not too cool about that and wanted to leave it locked off. They suggested we use a cooler - lol. Anyway, we opted for another villa after we heard about the construction and didn't have to press the request. Regardless, Pallina has always been on our shortlist of places we would like to stay in STT.

Thank you for your quick reply. The agency mentioned construction around some other villas, so I assume there was none near Pallina. There are eight of us going in May so we will have use of all the bedrooms in the house. The villa does look beautiful and we are counting down the days until our trip.

Thanks again,
Mary

We have a villa the first week of may near Magens. When we were there in Jan and Feb there wasn't construction that I noticed. That part of the island is so fabulous that I cannot wait to go back for my third time in 4 months!!

What do you think is the best beach for snorkeling near Magens?
