For our 30th wedding anniversary, Rick and I hope to fly our son and daughter, our son-in-law, and Rick's mother to St. John for a week in what we consider to be paradise. We also just learned that a three-month old grandchild (#1) will be part of the party - such a joy!

We prefer the Coral Bay side and were hoping for air conditioning, 4 - 5 bedrooms or bed arrangements, and less than $4000/week. . Here's what I learned: a wonderful 5-bedr. on Privateer Bay is rented; Rainbow Beach is just a bit too expensive, and I'm still checking out the three listed below.

Due to Rick's work, we have to go June 13 - 21, 2009.

Any thoughts about these or other villas where an 87 year old great-grandmother down to the new baby might stay?

SOL INCLINATION
FLANDERS VILLA
CORAL RAYS

Grateful for thoughts about our June 13 - 20, 2009, return Trip #5!

I think your biggest issue is limiting the number of stairs for the 87 year old in your party. Coral Rays has lots of levels so I would think that would not be a good choice. I don't have any first hand knowledge of this villa but I think Flanders Villa is probably your best bet of the three. It looks very nice and another plus is that it's new which means that the price is low and everything in the villa is new from mattresses, furniture, and linens and all the kitchen furnishings. I vote for Flanders Villa.

We've been doing family vacations to STJ for a number of years. They are wonderful memories and we all treasure. Congrats about the grandchild. They are such a blessing.

John also has a villa he is restoring on Coral Bay side. It should be finished end of this year or early next year.. it will be 5 bedrooms. It is near the Shipwreck restaurant if that helps with location. We stayed at his east end house last year and are returning this year. I think that newly restored villa will work for you. you can call directly at 978 526 7512. Road is paved and easy access to everything on Coral Bay side..
