We are planning our first vacation to STJ. Have been on the island for a day while on a cruise and loved it. Have been reading the many posts on this board for a while. The only requirements at this time are A/C and the bedrooms to be similar. I hope to avoid a big difference in size/quality of rooms if we will be splitting cost equally.
First one that comes to mind is Las Brisas. This one it at the high end of what we would be looking to spend ~1600/couple

never stayed there, but cocotier in virgin grand estates may fill bill. it has the sunset/stthomas views we like and shows some future availability via destinationstjohn.com whom we had a pleasant last minute rental through last april (temptress with similar views).

When are you going? Rates swing quite a bit between seasons. Summer is low. Winter is high.

WE just stayed at Ciellodonna at Chocolate Hole. 4 couples and it worked out great. Bedrooms are all very similiar, with lots of room for everyone.
