We spent a night on St. Thomas before ferrying to St. John (a great way to transition to "island time" by the way) and were fortunate to have reserved a room at this lovely villa on the top of Raphune Hill to the east of Charlotte Amalie. We had requested a honeymoon suite with a nice view and were assigned room 6 which was upstairs and had an amazing view from the private balcony of the bay.
The room was well furnished with a very comfortable four-poster bed, a kitchenette with china cups and plates, a lovely tiled bathroom with step-down shower, and, did I mention the view of the sunset from the balcony? 🙂 The grounds were gorgeous with a very clean pool which the hostess, Blanca, said we could use any time, day or night. She even sent us warm bagels in the morning in a linen-lined basket!
If you are just overnighting or staying a week, one could not find a nicer place to stay on St. Thomas. (tu)(tu)
We have driven by there for years but I wasn't sure that they were accepting guests. Would you mind telling me the rates?

Thanks for posting your review of Villa Blanca. It can be hard for the small hotels to compete with the larger chains, so your recommendation should give them a bounce (if not a boost!)
I think VI Tourism is going to do a special promotion or something for the small hotels. It's been a long time coming, but better late than never.
