Hello All- We are starting our final planning for a trip in April-May and have identified a few resonably priced places to stay that I wanted to ask for opinions on. There are just two of us and we are looking to spend no more than $1500 for a week. We prefer private residences/villas over the condo type places. We have spent alot of time looking for places that appeal to our needs and have found the following few places. We would love to hear any first hand experiences with these places and also any opinions on the locations based on your experiences on island....Thanks!

Stone Cottage is our favorite choice. It is reasonably priced, beautifully appointed, immaculate clean and maintained with local owners who are great hosts. Check Stone Cottage out at mclaughlinanderson.com.

Depends on what you are looking for as a priority. My 1st choice of those listed is Treetops in Red Hook -- convenient, well kept, comfortable, great view, great pool.
Really private -- Tabor and Harmony - might need 4wd -ask.
Lions Gate has new owners - more of a shared house feeling?
Cabes point is nice - haven't been to that house though.
Don't know the last one at all.

Have you considered the north side? You would need 4wd but this is a great cottage.

I think the East Side is right for us...we are more likely to want to go out than stay in and I think Red Hook and east side will be best for going out. I also like the That Cay, Grass Cay, STJ view from the East side. Although all views are nice down there...

I was hoping to get some direct feedback on the areas the places are in that I posted....

Thanks again
