*My husband and I will be coming in late April for the first time. I hear that is a real peak time. But I was told that was past the peak time by travel agents. For instance, how long will it take on a not too crowded day to get from the Antilles Hotel on Sapphire Beach to the main part of the tours or to town? Thanks so much. Any other tips will be greatly appreciated.

Peak time starts around November and starts to wane around late March / early April . Low season starts (sort of 'officially') in June. You should be ok. Would take about 15-20 mins from Sapphire to town. Good luck!

Late April is Carnival on St Thomas, so it is very busy!! You will want to pay close attention to the calendar of events as there are parades, boat races, Carnival village (think state fair food!) and many other activities.
