I am going to be in St. Croix for two days only. A Friday and Saturday. Just wondering what most would do if they only had two days. I am staying at the Buc.

Hello Dave,

Get up early one of those two mornings and go for a swim at one of the two Bucaneer Beaches. Its a great way to start the day, you have the beach to yourself - wonderful!

If the breakfast buffet at the Buccaneer is included in your package definately take advantage of it. If it isn't, its a little pricey but very good!!

Rent a car.

Spend one day exploring the island. Its really the only one of the USVI islands that has long drives and its really beautiful seeing the different sides of the island. The east end is flat, rolling hills, grassy plains. The north-west shore is forested, you can stop in Frederiksted while out that way, visit the Fort. The northshore is worth driving also. Perhaps pack a picnic lunch and just drive and explore, stop at a beach for a picnic lunch.

For dinner - maybe Tutu Bene or Rumrunners or Bacchus.

The next day, perhaps do a tour and sampling at the Cruzan Rum Factory, visit the Whim Planation, the Lawaetz Family Museum is interesting. Head to Christiansted for a stroll, the fort there is very nice. Good lunch options at the Brew Pub.

If you wanted to snorkel - you could spend one of the days doing a charter to Buck Island.

Kayaking in Salt River is interesting, they do night kayaks too.

Lots to do on St. Croix :).

Dave - I'm not a local just a tourist, but if I only had 2 days to spend, one day would be taking a sail to Buck Island to snorkle and the other day I would go to Cane Bay to dive the "wall" and when I was done with that I would say to my self I need 2 more weeks to do everything else - it is a beautiful island and you'll have a ball with what ever you want to do there

have fun

Dave,
If you're staying at the Buccaneer on a Fri & Sat, come by the beach shack at the Mermaid beach and say hello. If you come on Fri, there will be two of us, both with white beards. I'm the good looking one. :>)
As far as what to do. On day one I would go to Buck Island for a 1/2 day trip. I would also take the island taxi tour. Day two I would sit on the beach and chill. I would also make reservations to come back and stay longer. You can't do STX justice in two days.
