Hey everyone,

I'm trying to plan a trip to the usvi and am having trouble because there are so many bad opinions about the hotels. I'm looking for an all inclusive trip where the weather is nice, very relaxing, good drinks, good food and good shopping. can anyone recommend a hotel or place (area) to go. If anyone knows a good travel deal to the usvi please let me know. i'm hoping to go in january. any suggestions are welcome.

thanks
connie

We're planning a trip to St Croix in June and have been working it to death for the past six months. We are renting a villa, which gives us a lot of privacy.
If you want shopping you might want to go to St Thomas, USVI. If you're more interested in snorkeling, horseback riding or laying out on the beach, St Croix is probably your choice.
A great place to stay on St Croix is the Inn at Pelican Heights. It is a bed & breakfast type setting.
The owner's of the villa we are staying at have a web site at "http://www.noproblemmon.com". They live in the US and have spent a lot of time in the Virgin Islands. They might be a good resource in helping to plan your trip. They have an email address at their web site.
Good luck! Hope you get there and have a great time!

Connie,

You know the old saying that opinions are like***holes...everyone's got one? Take that into consideration when reading others' opinions...it is just that. An opinion.

The "All Inclusive" option (IMHO)) may not be what you would like here in the USVI. The reason for that is that there aren't many to choose from (the Wyndham Sugar Bay on STT is one), and the reason there aren't is that no one seems to want spend all their time at their hotel/resort/villa. There is too much to see and do here to spend it all in one place. I would recommend STT for you, as the weather is perfect (like the other VI's), we have great drinks (try the Bushwacker), BEST shopping in the Caribbean, loads of incredible restaurants (from 5 star to eating off of paper plates - but excellent tasting), easy to hop over to STJ ($3 ferry) or over to STX (seaplane or fast ferry) and the BVI (ferries), great places to stay (from B&B's to The Ritz or private villas).

Warmest regards,

~Marty

Thanks Marty,

I am so confused right now because my travel mate is giving me no help (she says to just book it and lets go). I'm a planner so getting a vacation together this quick kills me. Any info or opinions are very much appreciated. thank you again and i hope you had a nice turkey day!

Sure, Connie.

Go to www.resortvacationclubs.com. Sapphire Beach is great. You can go to www.sapphirebeachresort.com to see more of it.
