I understand that Trunk bay has showers and lockers. We plan on going to Trunk bay for the day. After we swim and such we plan on using the Facilities as we are staying in St Thomas but will be eating at Zozo's. We don't want to take the ferry back and forth. So what time do they close the showers? Do they have electricity outlets for hair dryers? Is this going to be more of a pain and maybe should just make 2 trips to st Johns? We are only there from Friday to Monday so we do not have a lot of time. We have reservations for 7pm at zozo's so we thought we could go up to the bar and watch the sunset. If the showers close at 4:30pm what could we do until 6? Thanks so much!!

Hello,
Sounds like a nice day. As I recall from my May visit to Trunk Bay, the showers are nice but simple, not a lot of room for primping. Just an enclosed shower with wooden bench outside. However, I did not check the restrooms, which are separate...there may be outlets in there. Don't get me wrong, the facilities are nice, but not like my gym at home. Also, if possible, try to check the cruise schedule. I scheduled Trunk Bay to avoid the cruise crowds, which may make it trickier to get in the shower. As for what to do between showers and dinner, there are plenty of places in town down the hill from gallows point to walk, shop, have a drink, etc. Also, just hanging out (!) at gallows point is nice.

I believe the showers shut off at 4pm - sorry don't know if they have outlets for hairdryers etc ( I wouldn't think they would as it's not a camp site like Cinnamon is, but again I don't know for sure) I'm sure someone will know. I think you are alittle high on the fare's to ZoZo's - taxi to Red Hook $8.00 pp ferry to STJ $3.00 pp therefore $11.00 per person each way. No taxi is needed to get to ZoZo's from the ferry dock it's a 2 min walk up the road. Hope this helps.

Hello,

Completely doable on one trip. Your hair will dry naturally very quickly, I don't know about the hairdryers. Will have to find out, never got that question before. 🙂

I think making two trips would be a bigger pain then just bringing a change of cloths and a few basic things to clean up with.

You can window shop or have drinks in Cruz Bay while passing the time until your reservation at the restaurant.

Enjoy.

Just a comment - shorted out my hair dryer in 1996 and have not looked back. Don't worry about it here. 🙂
