We are scheduled for a weeks stay at the Tropic Leisure Club on St. Thomas in May. I have looked up everything I can on the Internet about this resort, but I would really like to have some first-hand information to get a better idea of what to expect. Does anybody have any insights for me?

Thanks, Lori

It's not the best and not the worst. You should not pay more than $350 for a week. It's a basic place to put you luggage and sleep. The pool is okay. The location is good. The restraurant is below average. The the staff is decent.

We are staying for free with no control over choosing the resort. Did you actually stay there or do you live on St. Thomas and are familiar that way. We are not expecting to be pampered. We just want a clean place to stay. Frankly, I have read some scathing reviews on tripadvisor and they have me really concerned.

We stayed at The resort two years ago, an RCI exchange. I am with you and don't need the Ritz, just a clean place. The place was pretty nasty. Curtains were falling down, all the screens had holes in them and I have never seen a filthier carpet. I would never stay there again. The only thing i can say is that I did hear they were in the process of renovating the rooms. Maybe they are all done by now. I hate to say bad things about places. Dated furniture and thread-bare linen is ok as long as the place is clean. Like I said I'm not real picky but this place was nasty. Try to check-out if the place has completed the renovation.
