Hi,
I know this is probably been beaten to death .. but, do I need a passport? I have a raised-seal birth certificate and a valid drivers license .. will I be OK? Is it smarter to spend the extra $60 and expedite a passport? Does it save me time? Aggrevation? Any opinions? Can I travel between St Thomas and St John without a passport? Sorry for all the questions .. can't seem to get a straight answer.
Thanks!
Assuming you're talking about travelling sometime soon, you will be fine with your current ID. Since both St. John and St. Thomas are part of the same US Territory no passport is needed for travel between them. As of now, even if you want to travel to the British Virgin Islands you will be able to do so with your license and birth certificate. The best place, however, to verify any questions is with the US State Department on its website. http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html

I don't think the Passport will necessarily save time. You're fine.
