We flew out of Charlotte NC (CLT) on Thursday the 22 direct to St Thomas. Overall an uneventful flight. It was nearly full and we had about a forty five minute wait on the tarmac but the pilot made up most of the time in flight. We were about ten minutes late in SETT. Everybody's bags showed up and off our different ways for the first few days. Three couples stayed at the Mafolie Thursday night including Deb and I. Had dinner reservation set up for six and made there got freshened up had dinner and a few drinks to properly adjust our attitudes. Dinner was wonderful as usual. Friday morning Deb, myself, Bill and Carol headed to Red Hook to get on the Boat Forever Young to do an overnight trip to Jost Vandyke. Betty and Larry met us at the fuel dock in American Yacht Harbor. I had talked to Betty several times prior to going with them and she is every bit as nice in person. We sailed over to St John and made a stop near Maho bay to do a little snorkeling and lunch. Then a little more sailing with a second snorkel stop at Jost. Then we anchored at Great Harbor, this is were Foxy's is located. The original plan was to go to Foxy's for dinner but we opted to go to Corsairs instead. This turned out to be a good move. We have done the Foxy's Buffet a couple of times on prior trips its always fun but the food was better as Corsairs. Then we went to Fox's for a few drinks and some dancing after dinner.
Saturday morning, Betty made us breakfast on the boat excellent food. Then we sailed to Sandy Key to do a little swimming and lounging about. We hung out there until lunch time and Betty made us a great lunch with pasta and shrimp. Then it was time to sail to St John. We got into the dock around 2:00 said goodbye to the Fries and headed off to get our car at Conrad Sutton's, We rented a Liberty from Conrad. It is in good overall shape and you can park at his lot anytime you are downtown which is a big plus as the new parking building has gone back to the planning stages with the new Governor's administration and it is difficult to find parking in Cruz Bay.
Then its off to the Westin. After a few wrong turns Bill gave the map to my wife and we got here. Arrive at the lobby to find a couple of our friends having a spirited discussion of there bill prior to our arrival. Apparently pain killers will erase your cognitive ability. After a few minutes of this we got our keys and checked into our villa. We are in one of the three bedroom timeshare villa's. It is very nice and well kept despite what I had read on Trip Advisor. It has its own private pool and a nice great room with a bar and a pass through to the pool area. It doesn't have an ocean view though. Saturday night we had dinner at Morgan's Mango it was excellent all around then an early night in.
That's all for now I have to finish getting ready we are catching the 8:00 ferry to St Thomas. My wife as an interview at UVI this morning at 10:00

Great report Jay, but I kinda wanted a few more details about spending the night on Forever Young! 🙂 Also, are you and your wife planning a move????
waiting for the next installment...
Yes, sounds like they're up to more than a casual visit!!
Enjoying the report!
Mountaineer girl,
I will write a more detailed report when I get home. The boat trip was assume as usual. As I have said before this is a good alternative to a week long charter if you haven't spent much time on boats to see if you will like it. And yes we are seriously considering moving down. Bluwater glad you had a great trip enjoyed your posts.
We rented power boats yesterday from Nauti Nymph, two 29 foot Fountains with new twin 150's we went back to Jost so some of the newbies could see Foxy's and Soggy dollar then we ran down to Sandy Key and Sandy Spit then did a slow troll along Tortola's coast from Cane Garden Bay back to St John. Then burgers at the villa for dinner. We can't afford Tage every night.
This is our last full day as we have to travel tomorrow so we will probably load up all the leftovers head to Cinnamon Bay and chill.

can't wait for the detailed report. Also, while you're at it, could you see if a dental hygienist and an electrical engineer would be needed down there! 🙂
My guess would be that your husband could get a job at the refinery on St Croix pretty easily. And as you already know a hygienist can work any were.
Jay
Well, that's a great dream. Glad its coming true for you, but I'm sure I'll live out my days here in these west virginia hills!
but hey, maybe you could invite some fellow west-virginians down for a visit 🙂
