So after an awesome day at the catamaran and losing keys and blah blah blah....

We kinda slept in until 8 or so...ahh!

We woke up and sat on the patio again to watch the sea.

My cousin had to go do something kids/sports related so we took an awesome walk through the neighborhood and down to bluebeards beach down the hill.

The sun was scorching so I wore the rash guard i found...loved it!

We took some pictures under a flamboyant tree and then headed to the beach.

We forgot sunscreen and these awesome guys at the pool bar lent us some! so nice. We also had some painkillers, beer, and a bushwacker that was very good. I think his name was Vince!! In fact I know it was. He makes great drinks!

The water was gorgeous and this was the only beach I noticed to have any real waves. So it was fun. We walked around the beach looking for interesting rocks and shells. We swam and hiked up this big rock and saw a cool iguana...Other than that we waited for my cousin who soon arrived.

We hopped in the car and went to Bolongo bay for something to eat.

I thought it was pretty good (at Iggies)

On to Red Hook!

We hit the car ferry around 6pm and what a perfect time!

The sunset was magnificent and the waves of gold and silver that glittered on the sea were amazing (feautured in my vacation music video in an earlier post)

We got close to cruz bay and all i can say is....For my first time to st john...It was the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. The island in front of me, st thomas in the backround with the sun setting behind it. It was so unreal I cant even....

Anyway...

We went to starfish market (very nice!) And got some food and beer and after my cousin cursed her stick shift a few times we were off to MAHO BAY! Yes we be campin tonight buddy!

We stopped by the Cruz Bay overlook and of course the Trunk bay overlook at sunset. (also featured in video) GORGEOUS!!!

Ive been to alot of places even hawaii but this was....just UNREAL!

anyone who has stood there in front of all of st john and taken a deep breath...its so magical!

I tried soaking this all in as much as possible...

We got to Maho in last minutes of twilight.

It was bustling with activity and I was certain I was going to get a work out. I felt so far from everything. It was AWESOME!

We found our tent in the dark and managed to get our bags to the tent. Not bad. Had 2 ceiling fans a box fan and open windows..

I was sweating bullets! I rubbed myself down with ice cubes and had a cocktail.

After settling in and meeting some neighbors we headed down to the beach..

It was gorgeous.

A full moon was glittering across the dark but clear bay creating an eerie scene

The waves gently lapped at the shore of little maho and Naomi and I stood there in amazement. You could hear all sorts of birds tweeting which I found unusual because they usually hit they hay when its dark out where im from haha.

Soon the couple from the tent next to us showed up as did a mother and daughter.

We all stood in the water and drank and laughed and just stood in amazement as to where we were.

It was a long day and we had a good buzz so it was off to bed for the night....I slept really really well being cooled off and there was even a late night rain that swept through and created great breezes! The sea below could put even the lightest sleeper right to bed... More later!
