March 9
Called CT and found out we had about 5 inches of snow. My brother Jason was coming down today. He got in fine. I can’t remember what we did today, since I wrote, Coral World, hot dogs and goat twice in my notes. But I know we went to Caribbean Saloon for dinner and it was good. Oh, I remember, Mike, Brian and I took the dingy across from Sapphire to were two island meet and water crashes through, Thatch something I think. We were sitting in a small pool of water and all of a sudden a little octopus is staring at us; he puts two tentacles out of the water and is going after Brian. He clung to a rock and I touched him with a flip-flop and he shot black ink out. We were like ahhhhh…… and all ran out of the water. It was funny.

March 10
Jason, Brian and I took the dingy to an island I think in between the Thatch one and Allen Aldas and snorkeled. I finally saw a turtle while snorkeling about 10 feet ahead of me, turned around to tell them, and then lost him, he was gone. L Not fair……….. Someday, someday. It was really pretty snorkeling there though. Saw a really big puffer fish, I wish he was inflated; he would have been huge. We had lunch at the pool bar. It was pretty good, $10 for a burger, but everywhere is like that. Took a nap and Brian wanted to grill burgers on the boat tonight. I said, have fun I’m staying here. Mom said you can sleep on the boat with Mike if you want. They were getting on each other’s nerves pretty bad by this time on the vacation. But they get along most of the time; they just needed a break. So we watched Survivor and Brian slept on the boat.

March 11
Ok, it is almost 10 a.m. and Brian and Mike haven’t come over to the condo yet, so Mom and I take a taxi to Red Hook. Mom gets a call on her cell from Jason, who says Brian just showed up in the dingy at Sapphire. I knew that was going to happen. Wait about 10 minutes and Brian shows up and we go to the houseboat. Jason calls and wants to go to the Ritz with us. Mom and I get in the dinghy and start out to Sapphire, Jason calls, and has changed his mind. Get off the dinghy and back onto the houseboat and he calls and has changed his mind again. Oh my God! We hit the Ritz. Sat by the pool took a swim, had lunch, got burnt knees, they burn every year. We Know the pool is only for guests, but they don’t ask and we gave them business having lunch there. Went to Blue Moon for dinner. I have had lunch there and liked it. There was a couple eating on the beach at a table drinking wine. We asked our server if they were honeymooners and she said he is going to propose at dessert. He looked a little nervous and she looked like she knew this was it. They were also sitting under a palm tree, we were saying she is going to say yes, and then get bonked on the head. I hope the no-seeums weren’t eating them alive on the beach. Not too romantic. We left before they had dessert so didn’t get to see it.
I had fettuccine with crispy calamari on top; I wasn’t wild about it. Mom and Jason had Pork chops with rum sweet potatoes, yuk, Brian has the strip steak, which was good. Not impressed,. L

March 12
Took the ferry over to the Westin today. Hit the pool, then the beach. Swam out to the water trampolines. Two are connected by a yellow round long inflatable tube thingy that is hard to walk across, which is a lot of fun, since most of the time you fall into the water. It’s really fun to watch people from the beach. Mom said she would not swim there. There were a lot of boats this year moored in the cove, and since their waste goes in the water, and there isn’t a lot of motion since it is a man made beach/cove it doesn’t disperse. You are pretty much swimming in bacteria. Ahhh…….
My other brother Dave is coming today. He shows up about 2 hours late. Poor guy, he is always delayed, he got on the plane and they had to de-ice it and were 14th in line for take off. We went to Molly Mallones for dinner tonight. I had nachos, which were stale. L I went up to Keep Left and bought a cowboy hat with turquoise band of stones around it for $35 and a “stress blows” t-shirt for Mom for $20, she is always stressed with paperwork, etc. Hit Stone Cold again, yummy. Early to bed as usual.

March 13
Today is the Sunday Beach Party at Sapphire, and Dave notices a blender in the room, so he and Brian take the dinghy to go get some Pina Colada makings. Since they are about $7 each at the bar. He blends up a batch and I bring Mom hers on the beach, wow she says too much rum. It was a little strong, but we got it right the next time. So, there is a iguana that live on the docks at the marina at Sapphire, named Marshmallow. I guess someone owned him and set him free, he has a white head and a black tail. He is cool, Mike petted him once. So today he was getting busy with a female while we were getting in the dingy, he was biting her back doing his business. Iguana pee pees are red if anyone was wondering. Were going to go to Wok n Roll, but there are closed on Sundays so we got Senior Pizza and brought it to the boat. Early to bed again.

March 14
Boat day! We rented a Naughty Nymph power boat for the day. Dave wanted to go to an island he saw from Mountain Top last year, so we went to Hans Lollic and swam to shore. Brian found a huge coconut and opened it, but it has a really small coconut in it, but it was gooooood. I have never seen so many coconuts on a beach. We found three hermit crabs, there were also chicken and goats. We took the boat all the way around the island and Little Hans the water was crashing on the rocky shores. Everyone saw a dolphin surface except me. L Went to Meagan’s Bay and ate lunch. It started raining and didn’t look like it was going to stop anytime soon. First time it rained all week, figures, but it was warm. Took the boat to an island across from Cinnamon Bay and Dave, Jason, I went snorkeling, it was great but too cloudy and windy. Brian said Mom was having a nervous breakdown since she thought her three babies were going to get smashed into the rocks, but we were fine. We just went with the waves but from the boat it looked like we were going to die, they brought the boat around and made me get on, then we went for the boys who were way ahead of me. Mom had a good cry and yelled at us. I guess to a Mom we are still kids even at 44, 36, and 32. We ate at Duffy’s Love Shack. $20 for 1 ½ lbs. Of king crab, salad, rice, and corn. Good Dinner. We rented Pirates of the Carribean. Brian was asleep before the movie started, Dave and Jason fell asleep then woke up and I fell asleep. We have all seen it before so it wasn’t a total waste.

March 15
Last day. We went to the breakfast buffet. $12, it was good. Packed our stuff, and went to the beach for two hours. Left at two p.m. Had my Johnny cake with cheese at the airport. So I really like traveling on a Tuesday. The plane was about ¼ full. Brian and I had three seats each across from each other. Slept most of the trip. THE END.
