Okay, after after arriving home after our second trip to St. John (early February) I am still too depressed to write a trip report just yet 😉 But I have a link to pics if anyone is interested...
Thank you! Very cool!
Is that a white palm? I've never seen one and it is quite dramatic!
Enjoyed your pics. The white palm is striking. And rainbows.....nothing much more beautiful than rainbows in the Caribbean. What villa is that? That looks like about the perfect view. I think i want to stay there.....no, that's not true. I want to live there.
I'm pretty sure the "white" palm is called a Bismark
Family: Arecaceae (ar-ek-AY-see-ee)
Genus: Bismarckia (biz-MAR-kee-uh)
Species: nobilis (no-BIL-iss)
They are beautiful specimum palms.

Thanks, Lysa!
I was hoping someone here would tell me what kind of palm it is--it's totally gorgeous!

Oh...you and me both, Nick! We stayed at Casa Luna with friends and I can't say enough wonderful things about this villa! It has 360 degree views, which were spectacular. The friends we have IRL only do resort vacations--they were floored to see where we stayed and the views we had. More expensive of course, but it's so wonderful to stay in such a lovely home for a week! Here's a link for anyone that is villa shopping:

Thanks, Rojako! I knew someone here would have the answer 😉 Nobilis really sums it up perfectly too!
