Anyone do the trip insurance thing? Has anyone had any stories about
it? How about any companies you know of that you know are reasonable and reliable? I know we have alot invested already, and heaven forbid, it would be a drastic lost -in more ways than one if we couldn't make it, but somehow I'm afraid I may jinx the trip! How queer huh.

I bought trip insurance through travelguard.com. It's a minor investment for the large amount of non-refundable money we have tied up in our trip to STT and STJ this June...and we have peace of mind!! The first time we purchased trip insurance was for a cruise last January and thank goodness we did. We had terrible weather delays here in New England both down and back which meant a lot of unexpected costs. Thanks to the trip insurance we received a $1000 check in the mail within 6-8 weeks after our vacation which covered those costs. The weather delays put quite a damper on our vacation but it would have been even worse if we had no insurance - having that insurance was at least a bright light in the whole fiasco!!
