first time cruise to st thomas with carnival.
please help me find answers to these ques?
1. which port carnival ship docks on - i heard there are 2 ports
2. can you walk to downtown from port or you need a taxi(cost)
3. i plan to go paradise point and downtown and then plan to take excursion to st john trunk bay for snorkeling??
do you thing i can accomodate the snorkeling trip to st john in single day or just go to magens bay.
my ship goes back at 6pm?

It has been my experience that in order to squeeze in both downtown and a visit to St John in a single day, you will need to book an excursion through your cruise. Going on your own to St John will take too long. If you book a half day excursion through the cruise you will be back by like 2ish and have some time for downtown shopping. As far as which port there are 2 Crown Bay and Havensight. Havensight is a little closer to town, like 15 min walk. Taxi is inexpensive and will save time. Hope this helps and have a nice time.
