hi, i am thinking about doing a travel nurse contract in st. thomas and i was wondering if there were any nurses on this board. i have a few questions. thanks, anna
Click on the relocation message board link above to the right and post this question there. There have been travelers, in the past on here, and maybe they still lurk.
My wife will be starting her travel contract in St Thomas in May of this year. Send me a PM and I'll answer your questions (or forward them to her).
we have had several traveling nurses stay in our private home above Sapphire Beach. In fact one of the nurses was a high school classmate.
Here are some things you should consider.
Rental car or not.
Place you will be staying at
Location of the place so you don't hit too much traffic
If possible choose a shift you will work
Chhose the month you will start your work. The winter months (Dec-April) have fewer places to stay.
Don't bring a pet if you can. Pets ;limit you in getting a place.
Choose if you want to be on a beach or not
You will need various government documents to start. Make sure that you work on hgeeting these before you report. Remember that some offices have different hours.
Good Luck, you will enjoy it.

Kat1128 is a permanent nurse at RLS and frequents the relocation message board. Send her a PM.
I have a 2BR condo for rent if any traveling nurses are interested.
