I'm looking to take an assignment in St Thomas this fall, hopefully to love it and to relocate for good.
I've been to the island a few times and know a few things.
Here are the possible places my company is offering to put me up: Regatta point Villas and Saffire Village
PLEASE PLEASE, need ANY and ALL helpful info, better places to stay, information etc.
It is all helpful. I have been combing websites for days and I AM EXAUSTED!
But I can't wait to get there

You may want to check the relocation forum at the top of the page. However, I can say that I would choose Sapphire Village because I prefer the East End of the island and Red Hook. I assume you will be working at the hospital? Regatta Point would be slightly closer to that. Good luck!

Badissa,
Hi. My girlfriend is a PT and she is looking into doing a travel assignment in HI and I want us to come to the islands. Can you provide me with the name of the company you are using for your assignment?
Thanks so much,
jp

My wife did a travel assignment in St Thomas last year and she (we) lived at Sapphire Village. We enjoyed the Village and it was close to almost everything. Besides that there were a large number of Travel Nurses there so it was like "instant friends" for my wife when she got here. Many of the nurses took the safari buses but we had a car which made it much easier on us.

Thanks everyone so far fo the replies. It looks like Saffire Village will be safe and close to the things that I will need. Of anyone knows of any furnished condos, these are the amenities that I will be looking for: Utilities included, W/D on site, TV, internet, one bedroom is fine but I would really like the extra space to house guests.
Also I will need a vehicle, as I would like to be able to explore on my own. Good rental agencies?? Or should I attempt to buy something?
Keep the good advice coming! Its wonderful to hear from people that are happy on the island.
The relocation part of the site is immensly helpful..how updated is that information?

we have two nurses in out our home. One a traveling and one a full time person. We live by Sapphire Beach, but not Sapphire Village. They love it.

badissa: Did you find the Relocation Message Board? That information is very updated and germane to your needs! 🙂
