Hi.

Name is Jamie. Glad to see a message board for first time travelers to the Virgin Islands! Been looking since i started planning this trip!!! So thank you!!!

Few questions for you guys, hopefully I can get some help! 🙂

1. How far is Red Hook ferry dock from the St. Thomas cruise port of call? Would be ok to walk or should we catch a cab?
2. How far is Woody's Seafood 'n Saloon in Cruz Bay from the ferry dock in St. John? Ok to walk or catch a cab?
3. How far is the dock to catch a ferry over to Jost Van Dyke from Cruz Bay? Walk or catch a cab?
4. How far is the dock in Jost Van Dyke to Foxy's and/or Soggy Dollar Bar? Walk or catch a cab?

Been looking for maps 'n such on these things and not finding much on it. Going on a budget and really trying to watch our spending on cabs 'n such. So if you guys can give me some help on these things, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you so much!

Jamie 🙂

1. How far is Red Hook ferry dock from the St. Thomas cruise port of call? Would be ok to walk or should we catch a cab? - You need a cab approx $15.00 pp each way.
2. How far is Woody's Seafood 'n Saloon in Cruz Bay from the ferry dock in St. John? Ok to walk or catch a cab? - Walk 1 min at most 🙂
3. How far is the dock to catch a ferry over to Jost Van Dyke from Cruz Bay? Walk or catch a cab? - Are you on a cruise and want to go to Jost when you are docked in STT ? If so you can't do that (time) but if you are staying on STJ the dock to Jost is in town so walk - 3 mins at most
4. How far is the dock in Jost Van Dyke to Foxy's and/or Soggy Dollar Bar? Walk or catch a cab? - Walk to Foxy's cab to Soggy

Hope this helps

Pia

Jamie:

I agree with pia.

If you're coming in on a cruise ship it would be best if you consider a beach on St. Thomas....or just go shopping in town.

Even getting to St. John is going to consume a lot of time. Woody's is nice but the cost & time to get there would be a waste (for example for 2 people: $15. each both ways to/from Cruise Dock/Red Hook + $6. Ferry STT/STJ each way = $60 + $24 = $84.)

St. Thomas is a beautiful Island and shouldn't be missed.
