Hi Andi
Go for it, I too am going alone in July, though I have been there before, alone, I really like doing my own thing. I'll admit I'm twice your age and then some, but still enjoy traveling alone. Are you familiar with STT or is this your maiden voyage? I hope you have been following this forum and continue to do so, there are many islanders that will give you volumes of info. Also search topics at the top of the page and before time to go you'll have your vacation planned. Be smart, be careful and fall in love,,,,,,with the USVI'S

Andi, where do you plan to stay in ST? As in any other area, some places are safer than others.

It's not a good idea to venture into town alone at night, and to stay in the main tourist areas when in town (Main St, Back St, Crystal Gade/Synagogue Hill, Blackbeard's Hill, Government Hill, Waterfront) whenever you are in town.

Hike only in areas where other people are also hiking. Don't hitchhike. Don't go swimming alone.

The usual precautions.
