All-
I'll be visiting STJ from June 12-17, any advice on getting travel insurance? Is it necessary? Recommendations on companies to use? Thanks in advance!

We've used these folks a couple of times and they are good. We use travel insurance during the hurricane season or when traveling with folks who have health issues.

On Insurance ..

1.) Make sure its a Primary Policy

2.) Make sure its in good financial shape

3.) Make sure your policy covers what YOU need and Want.

4.) READ EVERYTHING FULLY!

We use the best as they compare hundreds of companies and policies FREE for you there and immediately. Having the Worlds largest DATA Base helps...eh..

Compare what you want need and can afford. This covers a lot of products, services and other Countries as well..

I don't recall the companies right now, but some of them have unrealistic requirements before they pay. READ THE FINE PRINT.

I bought some once and even though there was a weather evend and some flights were cancelled, the policy would not pay because the fine print said that every single flight the airline flies has to be cancelled for a period of 24 hours before the policy pays. Not every flight at a specific airport - every flight system wide.

Now that im thinking about it, I believe TravelGuard is a good travel insurance policy - it is underwritten by AIG who is financially stable.
