We will be visiting Jost Van Dyke for a couple of days in April. We are planning on taking a water taxi from St. Thomas to Jost. I am wondering if we need to rent a car to get to White Bay. I don't see us leaving the beach until we go back to St. Thomas. Is there public transportation or taxi services? Thanks!
i've only done day trips to jost but from what i can see you could just get a taxi. there will be taxi's when you get to customs, they will ask when to pick you up again. you can always call them when you are ready to leave as well. hope this provides a little help, maybe others have more insight.
A water taxi for STT to JVD? Do these exist?
Why not take the public ferry - you will need to go through Customs/Immigration regardless since one is the USVI and the other is BVI. It is the less expensive way to go.
A taxi can take you to White Bay - or wherever you want to go. They usually want RT money, but no worries - they will be there to pick you up (perhaps on island time so be prepared for that).
