Ways to get to from St. martin-St. John or St' Thomas?

Getting from St. John to St. Maarten would require you to take the ferry to St. Thomas and fly from there to St. Maarten. If you want, you could also take the ferry to Tortola and fly from there. I believe Tortola has a higher frequency of direct flights to St. Maarten than St. Thomas does. But the ferry to St. Thomas is cheaper than the ferry to Tortola. Just something to think about.
