yes, the schedule is reliable.
Once you get to Cruz Bay you will find taxi's plentiful...no problem getting to Trunk Bay. Likewise you will have no problem getting a taxi back from Trunk Bay.
You could also consider the ferry to/from Red Hook if the schedule is more attractive. Allow half an hour to/from the ship for the taxi from Red Hook(it takes less than that). Again, depending on the schedules you can grap the ferry from Charlotte Amalie but return to Red Hook...lots of options.
enjoy.

Hello Sandi,
Yes the ferry schedule is up to date. I would recommend taking the Red Hook ferry as it runs more frequently then the Charlotte Amalie ferry. The difference is
Charlotte Amalie - $7 each way, 45 minute ferry ride each way, shorter distance from Cruise Ship pier.
Red Hook - $3 each way, 20 minute ferry ride, longer distance from Cruise SHip pier.
If you get sea sick, or quezzy on boats - take the Red Hook ferry.
Both schedules are up to date.
There are always taxis at the Cruise Ship dock that can take you to the ferry. And there are always taxis at the Cruz Bay ferry dock to take you to the beach. Once at the beach have a great time, keep in mind the time you need to get back to Cruz Bay to catch the ferry. And then there are always taxis waiting at Trunk Bay and Cinnamon Bay for that matter waiting to take you where you need to go. Should there be no taxis, they will come shortly or you can try asking the casher at the little store (CInnamon Bay) or the National Park Person (Trunk Bay) to call a taxi for you. Then when you get back to St. Thomas .. taxis usually are there waiting as well.
Lots of people do this on their own. Not difficult.
