Planning our first trip to STT...
I was inquiring about renting a car, and the company suggested that without a Jeep Wrangler, access to some roads and good sightseeing may be limited...
Can anyone offer any input on this topic...
Your advice is greatly appreciated...
Hi There,
Personally, I don't think that a jeep is necessary on St. Thomas. Parts of St. John are much more readily accessed by jeep, but have not had that experience on STT. I always rent a small car. It's a lot easier to lock things , either in the car or in the trunk that way. The other things is that while it sounds neat to be driving around the island in an open jeep, that sun beating down on your head will take its toll before too long.
IMO, I'd stick with a rental car over a jeep.

I go to St Thomas 4 times a year . Get a 4 wheel drive with a hard top and a/c .
