We are planning on doing a day sail when we visit VI in November. Is the Islands' time the same as Miami's (Eastern) ship time? Also our ship is scheduled to arrive at 8:00 AM in Crown Bay. Will this allow me enought time to make it to Red Hook or Sapphire Beach? One of the excursions that we're considering, leaves at 9:00 AM & the other leaves at 9:30 AM.

Once the east coast goes off daylight savings time this weekend, the Virgin Islands will be one hour later than Miami. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Yes...The virgin Islands are on AST( Atlantic Standard Time) . This means that when the US is on Standard time AST is one hour later the EST (eastern standard time). When the US is on "day light saving" time the Virgin Islands are the same as Eastern Standard Time. So...During November the USVI is one hour later than the east coast of America. EST....got it?
