Anybody rent a car from these guys? The reason i am asking is becuase i got a deal through them $150.00 cheaper than anybody else on the island including the local car rentals. Are their cars junk? They told me they are one year old and less than 20,000 miles on all their cars? Are they pulling my leg? Because eveyrtime we rented cars on the islands all cars seemed to be junk.
Any help is very appreciated.
Thank you,
John
We've rented cars from several different companies over the past seven years and have found that the vehicles are faily comperable in quality...most have been late model, one year old or newer, fairly low miles. The only problem we've had were the brakes, we just called the company and were give a replacement...no hassel.
This is the first year we've rented from Thrifty (I think) and dont foresee any problems.
different car rental companies offer specials that are based on utilization, similar to airlines. last weekend I flew from St. Louis to Orlando for $59. The aircraft was STILL only half-full. I'm in the car rental business and sometimes when it's slow, I'll rent cars for $10 per day, just to have that car out making money. Even $10 a day is better than NO dollars a day. Maybe you just called at the RIGHT time!
i have rented from them in feb 05 and they were fine ... the only drawback is that they are not located in the airport and you have to depend on them to pick you up and shuttle you back and forth from their office(not far like 2 mins if that)
