Hi everyone,

I'm 20 yrs old and will be visiting St. John for the 1st time this month with my family...oh and I'm also a Harry Potter fanatic. As some of you may know, the 7th and final book in the series and also the 5th movie come out in a few weeks and I will be on the island for both release dates. I simply cannot wait to get home to see/read either so I had a few questions. I was planning on having the book shipped via Amazon.com to the island, but our villa manager said mail was unreliable. But I didn't think there was any other way to get it. So should I just ship it anyway and hope for the best or are there any bookstores on St. John or even St. Thomas where I can get it sooner? Also, I found a movie theater on St. Thomas, I just couldn't figure out exactly where it is on this island. Is it relatively easy to find? safe? etc. If anyone could give me any information about bookstores/theaters, etc. I would really appreciate it!! Thank you!

Lauren

The movie probably won't make it to STT for quite a while so I would not plan on trying to view it on vacation.

Lauren,

Your villa manager is correct; mail sent here can be slow. There are bookstores on STJ and STT but I don't know if they'll have the book by the scheduled release date. You could call them and ask; the local phone book is online here: viphonebook.com

The good news is that the last Harry Potter movie started showing two days EARLY on St. Thomas!
