We are thinking about spending a week this summer on St Croix.
Can anyone give me information about the Reef other than it is a condo complex on the east end of St Croix?
Are the units nice? Are they clean? How about the beach and the pool?
Any comments from people who own property there or have stayed there would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Britt
The Reef condos are on a hillside below the Villa Mad.. condos and above a 9 hole golf course. (the course has future potential but is a bit rocky) . across the the road is Duggans Reef Restaurant. ( one of the more interesting on stx). Duggin's is on Reef Beach, a rather nice white sand beach that is maintained (I think) by the Reef condos homeowners association. The condos have an excellent view of the sea and Buck Island. The condo units themselves vary in quality. Some are well kept, newly remodeled and extremely nice. Other condo units have not had the same kind of care and are beginning to be run down. Make sure you get a good unit or a good price.
You can walk to the beach, but it is a rather steep walk back up the hill. The only people I met from the Reef condos, I met at Duggin's, the beach or the golf course. They were mostly older retired people, fairly pleasant and somewhat protective of their beach and property. The Reef could be a good choice. I much perfer the Villa Madaleine Condos
although they are a bit more expensive.
