Has anyone stayed in the poolside Cottage in Battery Hill? Or have any info about it? Thanks...

Yes, I stayed alone at The Cottage all summer. Although a bit needing a "face lift" of sorts, it was so convenient to town, and it was all I needed. I loved the pool right outside the door, and even though it was outside the door, I never heard many people. It is very easy to walk to town, and a great way to exercise on the way home up the hill. CD player does not work, but TV (cable) does.

Any more questions, I would be glad to answer. Did you know it is for sale?

I didn't know its for sale, hope they don't have any showings while we are staying there!! Do you know what they are asking?
This is our first trip to St John, so it seemed like a great, affordable, convenient place for the 2 of us to stay. We wanted to be in a place where we could walk to everything we needed. I'm sure we will be eating all of our dinners out, so we didn't feel the need for a full kitchen. Just enough to keep the necessities cold, and a coffee maker for the a.m.
Do you think we should rent a vehicle for the week, or can we make do with the public transprtation to the different beaches? Is there even a place to park it if we do?
I'm so happy to hear you didn't hear people in the pool all the time, that was the one thing that concerned me, if we would have any privacy at all or would it feel like there was always something goign on right outside the door.
Where would you recommend our first dinner out? After traveling all day I'm sure we will want something laid back where we can enjoy a painkiller or bushwacker that I keep reading about! Can't wait to try all the local flavors...
