I was in St. Croix not to long ago and a local told me to go see the castle on the hill with a countess that lives in it. Well, I made it to the gate, but it was closed. Does anyone know the history about this castle and countess? Thanks!

Oceanlover,
I'll tell you what I remember of the story. Some years ago and Count and Countess from some European country moved here. The Count, who dearly loved the Countess, built her a castle here. The Count has since passed away. The Countess is getting up in years. I have never personally met her, but those who have say she is quite nice and regularly invites people to visit the castle.

Thanks Ric! Just wish I could have met her. I heard the inside of the castle is wonderful. Maybe my next trip, I'll get to meet her and get to tour her castle. If anyone has any pictures of the inside of this castle please e-mail me some pictures. Thanks.
